About this aircraft: The Eurofighter Typhoon is a twin-engine multi-role canard-delta strike fighter aircraft. It was designed and is built by a consortium of European aerospace manufacturers through Eurofighter GmbH, formed in 1986. As early as 1979, studies began into what would become the Eurofighter Typhoon. The aircraft achieves high agility by having relaxed stability. Therefore it requires a fly-by-wire system, as manual operation alone could not compensate for the inherent instability. It also has very short take-off and landing capabilities. |
