About This Model

By 1944 the Corsair had become the predominant US Navy carrier-based fighter in the Pacific, and arguably the most successful fighter overall in WWII. Earlier, from April to September 1943, Kenneth A.Walsh scored 20 ‘kills' in battles over the Solomon Islands and was decorated personally at the White House by President Roosevelt.
