From 1953 to 1955, the Royal Air Force kept a flight of armed Harvards stationed at RAF Eastleigh in Kenya to help fight the Mau Mau insurgency. Replicating one of those Harvard Mk.IIBs - the British variant of the AT-6 Texan - flown by 1340 Flight in 1955, this 1/72 scale, die cast Hobby Master model features a two-seat cockpit with an optional-position canopy, a detailed radial engine front with a rotating propeller, optional-position landing gear, an authentic paint scheme with the motto "Cymru am byth" (Wales forever) painted on the fuselage, and more. 7" wingspan; includes a display stand.
