Possessing one of the most sophisticated avionics suites and the ability to fly extremely well at slower speeds, the A-6 Intruder carried out precise bombing missions during the Vietnam War beyond the capability of other aircraft. Introduced to service in February 1963, the US born Intruder was a two-seat all-weather attack aircraft that reached a maximum speed of 684 mph and could carry up to 18,000 pounds of ordanance including nuclear weapons, conventional and guided bombs, and drop tanks.
