I guess the big news right now is the Moebius Jupiter 2 model. Amazing replica. It's my personal favorite. All metal hull and the lighting is really well done. Wish I could convince my wife that it deserves a place of honor on the coffee table in front of the TV. The Dragon Space series continues with the Gemini and Mercury capsules. I have always liked the Gemini ship and this is the first affordable diecast model of it to come out. When displayed next to a 1/72 scale Apollo, it gives you a good perspective of just how small it was. It really took guys with a lot of guts to climb into that and get shot into space. I'm probably going to get some of the new Hogan M-series 200 scale. I've always been a 1/72 scale guy but they have some models not available anywhere else, they look great displayed together and are very well detailed for a small model.
That's it for now. Thanks for visiting Fantastic Flyers!
Lots of new planes in this month. Probably more at one time than I have ever listed. Jet x is a new line from the folks that brought you Century Wings. The F-4 Sundowners is an amazing plane. Compared side by side with the Hobby Master F-4, it has a better stand, better landing gear and overall, looks more detailed bit it is almost double the price of the HM plane. We'll have to see how that works out for them. They also released a few WWII 1/144 scale planes. Very highly detailed but small. I like the new Oxford planes. Price is almost in the Model Power range and they are nicely detailed for the price. The new Witty Sky Guardians Europe look like the same line as newer Witty. The Garnett is nice and the new Tornados are well done. Finally they are including stands. Century finally released the YF-12C. In my humble opinion, the best SR-71 they have released. I still have a few F-14 Pukin Dogs left.
Hope you are all having a great summer. Been a little cool here in NH. Thanks for visiting Fantastic Flyers.
Well a few new items are in this Spring. The Australian F-111G 60th Anniversary scheme is a nice looking plane. I like the new Phantom from HM, very colorful even though I tend to prefer the more subdued schemes. I may keep one of these though. New X-37B from Dragon. Wish I had bought more of the Air Force schemes that were out before. This is cool but I like the first one better. If you're still looking for one and see if for sale somewhere, grab it. I can't get them from Dragon and I'm guessing they won't be around long. I like the Apollo 9 but the Apollo 10 due next month will have the LEM included. There are no really good models of the Lunar Module around. This will be in 1/72 scale. I'm really looking forward to it. Hope you all have a great Spring and thanks for visiting Fantastic Flyers.
Hope everyone is surviving the winter. I'm getting a little tired of shoveling snow here in NH. Can't remember getting this much this frequently. I was around for 78 but I was a kid and shoveling was a chance to make a few bucks. No kids knocking on my door these days. Fortunately I still have kids at home to help. Not too much new this winter. I like the Dragon X-37 that just came in. They have done a nice job with the Space series. The Apollo 7 and 8 are incredible, even though the Apollo 7 has a docking connector on the nose and I'm told it didn't. Hope they come out with a Gemini capsule. A little about shipping and shipping charges. I do free shipping for orders over $100. Some people have commented that others do free shipping over $50 or $40 or whatever. I've thought about doing that just to compete but I don't really want to change how I ship. All my orders ship USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground and are packed in a box. I think it's better for you and it's better for me. I don't get complaints that the item is late or damaged. So for now, I'm leaving the shipping as it is. Hope you understand.
Well no snow forecast for the next few days. Spring is just around the corner, right? Please?

The latest F-111 from Hobby Master is here. The EF-111 HA3003 looks great. HM did a nice job on these planes. I still prefer the F-111A model HA3001. Hope they make a FB model. I have memories of seeing them flying out of Pease AFB in NH when I was a kid. The Vandy F-4 is very colorful. Love the bunny logo on the tail but I think I prefer the 80's HA1922 if I could only get one. I have a preference for planes in combat units. Went to the Ihobby show in Chicago back in October. I was impressed with the Easy Model jet fighters. I've been hesitant to buy them since they are plastic and the price isn't that much lower than a Witty model but I like the finish on them. The panel lines are more realistic. Once they are on the shelf, they don't look like plastic models. So you'll see some of them on the website now. Lots of new Corgi came in this month and we expecting the Vickers Valiant soon. Should be getting the other V bombers in the next few months. I really like the Vulcan in all white that's coming.
Well that's it for now. Thanks for visiting Fantastic Flyers and have a Merry Christmas!
